Why don’t you recommend solid foil coverage on business cards?

The bulk of the card stocks we use for foil blocking are uncoated and textured, which are not ideal for solid foil coverage. Solid foil coverage requires a large amount of pressure to get good foil coverage which can cause heat/bruise marks on the opposite side of the card. In addition, it can also cause the edges to 'flake' when guillotined, creating a poor quality finish. If you seek a full metallic gold, silver or rose gold card, we introduced a Metallic Range of business cards using highly reflective metallic card which can be digitally printed. Many of our customers choose a simple metallic card with their logo in black or white ink for a high end finish. Order one of our Sample Packs to see the results for yourself.
