Can I used a foil stamped letterhead in my laser printer?

Using a foil stamped letterhead in a laser printer is generally not recommended when standard foil stamping foils have been used. However there are foils available in metallic gold and metallic silver that are specifically designed to go through laser printers.

Laser printers use heat to fuse toner onto the paper. If you try to run a foil stamped letterhead through a laser printer, there's a risk that the heat from the printer could cause the foil to melt, warp, or adhere to the printer's fuser unit, potentially damaging the printer. At the very least it is likely to burn the foil and take the sheen off it.

If you need to print on letterhead paper that has been foil stamped, and you don't have access to an inkjet printer, then we can foil stamp your letterhead using a special stamping foil that can withstand the heat from your laser printer and avoid damaging it. Our laser printer foils are available in metallic gold and metallic silver.
