What is the maximum print size that can be achieved with digital printing?

The attainment of maximum print size in digital printing hinges upon several factors, including the precise digital printing equipment and technology utilised. However, digital printing has experienced remarkable strides over the years, enabling the realization of larger print sizes with unprecedented efficacy.

For ordinary desktop or office digital printers, adherence to standard paper sizes is customary, constraining the maximum print size to dimensions like A4 (8.27 x 11.69 inches) or Letter (8.5 x 11 inches). These printers predominantly cater to modest printing requirements, such as documents, flyers, or diminutive promotional materials.

Conversely, professional digital printing equipment, exemplified by wide-format printers or production printers, can readily accommodate larger print sizes.

At our print studio we specialise in sheet fed digital production printing which means we have a maximum sheet size of SRA3 which is 450mm x 320mm with a maximum print area of 435 x 310mm. This press prints at up to 65 sheets per minute. We also have sheet fed SRA3 presses for white ink printing and inkjet printing which is ideal for seed paper printing. Larger sizes up to A0 can be catered to for large format printing of posters and other materials.
