Digital foiling, also known as digital foil stamping or digital metallic printing, uses a process that applies metallic foil accents to specific areas of a printed piece. Digital foiling is a cost-effective alternative to traditional foil stamping, as it eliminates the need for custom dies or plates. However, it's unable to replicate the quality and detail of traditional foil stamping.

Foil stamping is perfectly suited to digital printing and can be cost effective for both short and large print runs at our studio. Unlike digital foiling, it can be applied directly onto digital printing without the need for lamination. Additional effects can also be achieved with this approach such as overprinting designs on top of foil stamped elements allowing for the reproduction of gradients with a metallic effect, as well as multi-level embossing.

Embossing is also ideal for digitally printed products such as business cards and invitations.
