How do I know if my artwork will print correctly?

How do I know if my artwork will print correctly?

Every order that is placed with us undergoes a full technical file check by our artwork team.

Your supplied artwork file will be checked for technical issues such as, incorrect resolution, colour space, dimensions, transparency, bleed and crop marks. If we spot any issues, we will contact you to advise on how to amend the file. If your file passes our checks, it will be emailed to you for approval prior to printing.

As part of this service, we may also make suggestions to improve the quality of the finished product such as, small artwork tweaks or changes to paper stocks. We offer a wide range of options, but different print finishing techniques and paper stocks have some limitations. For example, we don't recommend flood coating solid ink coverage on cotton based papers. A heavy coating of ink ruins the tactile surface of cotton paper and due to the nature of the stock, the ink can crack/flake during guillotining. If you submit a file with a full colour design, we may suggest an alternative stock to alleviate this issue. We've listed the limitations as 'Do's and Dont's' on each product page. Our goal is to ensure what we produce is high quality, and that you will be delighted with the finished product.

To help you set up your artwork correctly, our Artwork Team have compiled a file setup guide which you can access using the link below. It contains all of our guidelines, so you can check your files are set up correctly prior to uploading them to us.
