Our Story

After Hours Creative was founded in 2009, and is comprised of a small team of craftsmen, artworkers and print professionals that collaborate to create high-end print media, with a specialisation in print embellishment and hand finishing. We work with clients across the UK, as well as, throughout Europe, North America and the rest of the world.

Our profound passion for unique papers, distinctive foils and print finishing cultivated a new venture for our brand; fine stationery. Utilising muses like the gorgeous beaches and marine life surrounding our studio in Bude, Cornwall, the beauty within Mother Nature and animals, we married these themes with unique and sustainable papers, metallic foils and our print finishing techniques to craft gorgeous stationery products such as notebooks, journals, greeting cards, note cards and more. Our handmade products resonate what AHC Studio is as a collective: Lovers of the earth, which gives us inspiration and the gift of beautiful papers which we transform into an art form.

Sustainability

In addition to our deep affection for our planet, we strive to uphold and conserve this precious gift through dedicated sustainable practices. Paper is one of the few truly renewable, recyclable and sustainable materials we have. The paper waste from our commercial print studio is delivered to a local recycling company to be recycled and turned into new papers. In turn, the papers we select for many of our stationery products are recycled and either wholly, or partly, manufactured from post consumer waste (PCW) and post industrial waste (PIW). PIW and PCW papers are made from recycled materials that might otherwise have ended up in a landfill. Some of our products even go a step further and use papers that contain up to 50% resource-saving fibers such as wheat straw, cotton, grass, reindeer poo and cannabis. We also recycle both our stamping dies once they have reached the end of their life span and our foil waste. AHC is part of the Zero Foil 2 Landfill initiative which means our foil waste is converted to solid recovered fuel (SRF) to be used in the cement industry. This is used as a replacement for fossil fuels such as coal.
